The type of cutting fluid which cutting fluid selection method

In the production and processing, cutting fluid is the processing of cooling, lubrication of the weapon.  Emulsions: Emulsions are milky white liquids made from emulsified oil diluted with water. A good mobility, specific heat capacity, viscosity is small, good cooling effect, and has a certain lubrication performance. Mainly used for steel, cast iron and non-ferrous metal cutting.

Cutting oil: cutting oil is mainly mineral oil, there are other moving, vegetable oil and compound oil. Cutting oil has good lubrication performance, but the mobility and specific heat capacity is smaller, the cooling effect is poor.

Cutting fluid should be based on the workpiece materials, tool materials, processing methods and requirements and other specific conditions, comprehensive consideration, a reasonable choice.

(1) roughing, cutting margin, resulting in more heat, high temperature, and the processing surface quality requirements are not high, it should be used to cool the main cutting fluid. Finishing, the processing margin is small, resulting in less heat, the role of the cooling requirements are not high, and the workpiece surface quality requirements are higher, and hope that the cutter is durable, it should be used to lubricate the main cutting fluid.

(2) milling cast iron, brass and other brittle materials, generally do not have cutting fluid, if necessary, available kerosene, emulsion and compressed air.

(3) the use of carbide cutting cutters for high-speed cutting, generally do not have cutting fluid, if necessary, with emulsions, and began to cut before the full continuous pouring, so as not to burst due to cold.

Milling, the choice of cutting fluid

1, carbon steel: rough milling using emulsion, soda water. When using the emulsion (low-speed mass fraction of 10% -15%, high-speed mass fraction of 5%), extreme pressure emulsion, composite oil, sulfur oil and so on.

2, alloy steel: rough milling using emulsions, extreme pressure emulsion. When using the emulsion (low-speed mass fraction of 10% -15%, high-speed mass fraction of 5%), extreme pressure emulsion, composite oil, sulfur oil and so on.

3, alloy steel: rough milling using emulsions, extreme pressure cutting oil, vulcanized emulsion, extreme pressure emulsion. Milled kerosene, kerosene plus 25% vegetable oil; kerosene plus 20% turpentine and 20% oleic acid, extreme pressure emulsion. Sulfurized oil (diesel plus 20% fat and 5% sulfur), extreme pressure cutting oil.

4, cast steel: rough milling using emulsion, plate pressure emulsion, soda water. Fine milling can use emulsions, extreme pressure cutting oil, composite oil.

5, bronze, brass: This metal in the process of processing can not use the cutting fluid, if necessary, with emulsion, sulfur emulsion, polarization, pressure fluid, emulsion.

6, aluminum: aluminum processing under normal circumstances do not need, if you encounter the necessary time, you can use the emulsion, composite oil. When finishing the use of diesel, compound oil, kerosene, turpentine.

7, cast iron: the general processing also do not have to cut fluid, if necessary, with compressed air or emulsion. Fine milling is generally not used, if necessary, with compressed air or emulsion or extreme pressure emulsion.
